There is a tension to embrace this Thanksgiving.
To be fair, I think the tension is there every year, but it is especially present in a year where we’ve experienced so much loss.
God calls us to be thankful, but he also calls us to mourn with those who mourn.
I don’t know about you, but when COVID first began earlier this year, I never imagined we’d be dealing with it going into the holiday season.
For some of you, this Thanksgiving is the toughest Thanksgiving you’ve ever faced. The losses have been insurmountable this year, and you don’t really feel like celebrating. That’s okay. I stand with you. My encouragement to you is to know God is with you.
