Happy New Year!
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and your new year is off to a great start.
Many Christians approach the new year with a resolution to read the Bible more. It's a good goal, as long as we're not doing it out of a place of guilt. The Bible became life-changing for me only when I stopped reading it out of obligation and started reading it to get to know Jesus better.
In 2020, I published my first devotional book, Nobody Left Out: Jesus Meets the Messes. To ring in 2021, I am making the digital version free now through January 4th.
My sincere hope for my book is that it makes engaging with the Bible a little easier. It's why I wrote it. It's a 40-day devotional that walks through 8 stories about Jesus.
Have you ever opened your Bible to Genesis 1 on January 1st and tried to read the whole thing in a year? I've attempted it many times with varying degrees of success! Again, it's not a bad goal, but it can be overwhelming. You usually have to read about 3 chapters a day to keep pace. If you miss a couple of days, it can be discouraging.
If you're looking to build a daily habit of Bible reading without the stress, my book may be a helpful resource. It only takes about 5-10 minutes a day to read. Each day includes a Bible reading, a short reflection, and a couple of questions to think about throughout the day. And if there was ever a year to start off by reading stories about Jesus and how he loves people in their mess, 2021 is it! :)
I'm offering the book for free because I genuinely want to get it into as many hands as possible. If the book can help you start 2021 on the right foot, I'll be glad. And if you hate it, I'm offering a 500% money-back guarantee! (Just a little math joke there...)
You can grab the ebook for free here.
